I just bought a Dodge truck with a receiver hitch that has been locked in place with one of those receiver hitch locks.
Have already had a reputable locsmith try to pick the lock to no avail. Also, there isn't alot of room for a grinding wheel to fit.
Fixed the problem, drilled the core out and the lock popped off. Thanks for the suggestions

I want to buy a bike rack that fits 2" hitch receivers. How do I find out if my hitch receiver is big enough? Do I measure the opening or the measurement of the hitch receiver itself? (the outside).

I have a 2002 subaru outback. The trailer hitch specifically sold for it at the subaru dealer is $250, but autozone and other places sell trailer hitches for around $110. Could I get by with the cheaper hitch?
